OSHA - 10 Hour General Industry Outreach Training w/ Study Guide

Course Description

This course essentially covers 10 hours of trainings that are required by OSHA. These courses apply to the 10 hour general industry, and a completion card will be received upon finishing the course. The course consists of 10 training modules that discuss the regulations covered by the Standard 29 CFR 1910. Upon successful completion of the course, candidates will be able to correctly identify the common hazards and methods to minimize risks.

About the Course

At the end of the course, applicants will be given a short quiz to test their knowledge. These quizzes will help you prepare yourself for the 10 question module quizzes and for the final examination. You can view your assessment results and find out where you have gone right and where you were wrong.

You are required to score a minimum of 70% for each module quiz to move forward. You will be given 3 chances to pass these quizzes. Failure to pass these quizzes will result in you being locked out of the program and you will no longer be allowed to take the outreach training online.

Upon successful completion of each of the modules, you will then be required to pass a final examination. The exam will have 20 questions and will basically test your knowledge about the topics covered in the course. You must score 70% and above to pass the test. However, you will get 3 chances to take the test and if you do not pass it even after 3 tries then you will be locked out of the course and will not be able to continue with your outreach training online.

Completion of Course

OSHA requires that the Outreach Course as well as the End of Course Survey be completed within 6 months from registration or a DOL card will not be issued. It is extremely important to complete the survey at the end of the card if you want to receive your DOL card.

Upon completion of the course and survey, you will receive a completion card from your provider, on behalf of the Department of Labor. The processing and shipping time for the completion cards takes anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks.

Once you have completed the course, you will receive the completion certificate which is also available through your My Training page. This is however, not an official document. It only serves as proof of your completion until you receive you DOL card by mail.
