About the Course
This package includes 10 hours of training required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act that applies toward the 10-hour Construction Industry course completion card. The module consists of 12 sections that cover topics of the regulations covered by the Standard 29 CFR 1926. When the course is completed successfully, it will help the participants to meet the OSHA Construction Industry standards.
The Outreach Training Program courses have been recommended by OSHA as an orientation to occupational health and safety for workers in the construction industry. Workers must receive an additional training on the specific hazards of their job when required by the OSHA standards.
The module covers 30 hours of training courses, which is required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act, applying towards the 30-hour Construction Industry course completion card. There are 23 sections of in the module which each of either 1 or 2 hours in length and cover topic that pertain to the regulations covered by the Standard 29 CFR 1926. When the course is completed successfully, it will help the participants to meet the OSHA Construction Industry standards.
How it Works
A copy of OSHA Standards for Construction will be sent to the participants which will serve as an invaluable resource to referencing the OSHA Standards covered in the course and also research regulations or standards, which could help to establish a safer work place.
Participants will also be able to download supplementary materials. All you got to do is click the “Materials” tab on the menu located within the course player. They can also print out the course summaries of each module along with a syllabus of the entire 30 hr course. You can visit the official OSHA website, www.osha.gov for other reference materials.
As you proceed towards the course, help is available for any problem you come across. For any technical difficulty, you can call or email the technical support team. You can find their information on the Help screen. If it is for content related questions, you can click “Help” tab below. Contact the school if it is for procedure related questions relating to inquiries about course prerequisites, post course completion procedures, completion cards, etc. You can find the school contact detail at the top of the Help page.
While taking the course, please remember the time limit provided on both your log in session and the course. For log in session, participants can free feel to take as much time as they want at any given time. But if you stayed ideal at a page for more than 15 minute, you will logged out of the session and you again have to log in and rejoin the course from where you left.
Again for course itself, you have a complete 6 months from the time you have signed up for the course to finish it in order to receive credit. After the completion of 6 months, your account will expire and you may have to purchase the course again to complete it.
There are quizzes at each end of the module where participants will be given 10 questions at each module quiz. To move forward in the course, participants must score at least 70% on each module quiz. They will be given 3 opportunities to clear each module quiz. If they fail to pass the quiz, they will be locked out of the course and will not be allowed to continue with an online training format for their outreach training.
Once the participants have completed all the module quizzes, they must clear the final examination to receive full credit for the course. The exam consists of 20 questions and it will test their knowledge on information covered throughout the training course. All participants must receive a score of 70% to clear the course. They are given three tries top clear the exam and if they don’t pass they will be locked out of this course and they will be no longer allowed to take the outreach training in an online format.
