Cranes & Rigging

EVERYDAY discounted price!

Introduction

Working in a crane operation and rigging operation is dangerous and has resulted in many thousands of cases of injuries and fatalities. Apart from improper rigging, safety issues can also crop up from cranes hitting overhead obstacles. These are probably the most frequent crane and rigging hazards witnessed.

In any crane operation, the most important task is the rigging of the load. Improper rigging can result in property damage, personnel injury and any other serious hazard. Rigging is very time consuming and poses as the single most dangerous task in any crane operation. The OSHA crane & rigging standard provides training for designated workers who frequently use cranes. Such employees must be trained in to knowing how to inspect, take care of and use cranes and any other hoisting equipment. The standard was introduced to ensure the safety of employees working in crane and rigging operations and to increase awareness while minimizing accidents and other damages.
