Introduction
Construction sites are dangerous places to work in, especially fi you have not had adequate training sessions in general health and safety. There are a few precautionary measures that can be taken without any formal training, like – concentrate on what you are doing and inspect your tools before you use them. However, these measures cannot be entirely foolproof.
At any construction site, it is very important for all employees to work under the experienced eye of a supervisor. Accidents at a construction site occur for a number of reasons, namely man made reasons and other external factors. Employers are equally responsible for looking after the health and safety of each and every one of the employees on the site. The OSHA standard for the general health and safety in the workplace was brought about in an effort to make workers feel more secure and happy when going to work.
