Introduction
Hazards from welding and cutting operations include exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation and metal fumes. Other hazards associated with these operations include cuts, electric shock, burns, crushed toes & fingers, and eye damage. Many of the injuries and damage caused by these operations can be controlled with proper personal protective equipment (PPE), and good work practices.
Course Description
This course helps outline two of the most common types of welding & cutting operations, the dangers that are involved, and the safety measures to be undertaken in order to minimize and prevent their further occurrence. This course further outlines the fire prevention techniques and the dangers posed by preservative coatings during welding & cutting.

Testing
Testing
Initial Tests or Quizzes must be passed with a 100% ranking in order for the applicant to proceed to the next lesson.
The final Examination must be passed with a minimum of 70% in order to clear the course. If necessary, the final examination can be taken 3 times.
