Introduction
Unexpected energizing or start up of machinery and equipment could be fatal to the people working. The Control of Hazardous Energy Source Standard (29 CFR 1910.147) or Lockout/Tagout Standard is a program under Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration designed to prevent the release of stored energy and help workers to protect themselves from hazards.
Course Description
The course informs employees about the importance or requirements for lockout/tagout during operation and maintenance of equipment or machine. The workers will also cover the requirements of OSHA Lockout/Tagout Standard, procedures of the locks and tags application and lastly a discussion of the various types of energy that the procedures are designed to control.

A score of 70% is required in the final exam. The trainees will be given three chances to appear for the final exam if it is required.
