Introduction
The Clean Water Act or CWA is the primary Federal Law governing water pollution and water related hazards in the United States. This act establishes the goals that are important in eliminating toxic substance releases to water, and additional water pollution. What is the Clean Air Act?
The Clean Air Act describes the legislative history of the reduction of air pollution. The Air Pollution Act was first passed by the United States Congress in 1955, then came the Clean Air Act which was passed in 1963. Further amendments were passed in 1966, and the Clean Air Act extension was passed in 1970 with further amendments being passed in 1977 and 1990.
